We want to make shipping easy to understand so you can know exactly how your order will be delivered based on your location. Below, find out what type of location applies to you and what that means for your shipment.

Identify Your Location Type & Shipping Method

Commercial Address (Best for Businesses)

A commercial address is a business location that has a loading dock or forklift access for unloading. If your location meets these requirements, shipping is simple and cost-effective.

How It Ships:

  • Flat Rate Freight – A tractor-trailer delivers your order.
  • You must have a loading dock or forklift for unloading.
  • No extra liftgate service needed.

What This Means for You:

  • Delivery is cheaper and faster.
  • No extra fees for unloading.
  • You or your employees must be available to receive and unload the shipment.

Commercial Address (Without a Loading Dock)

If your business does not have a loading dock or forklift, you will need Liftgate Service.

How It Ships:

  • Flat Rate Freight with Liftgate Service – The truck has a lift to lower the shipment to the ground.
  • There is an additional $50 fee for this service.

What This Means for You:

  • The driver will lower your shipment to the ground.
  • You must move it from the drop-off point.
  • If you do not request liftgate service at checkout, you will need to unload by hand.

Residential Address (Delivery to Homes & Apartments)

If your address is a home or apartment, even if you run a business there, it is classified as residential. Most freight deliveries require a scheduled appointment.

How It Ships:

  • Residential Freight Without Liftgate – Not recommended unless you have a way to unload large shipments.
  • Residential Freight With Liftgate Service – The truck lowers your shipment to the ground (recommended).
  • There is an additional $50 fee for liftgate service.

What This Means for You:

  • The driver will not assist beyond lowering the shipment.
  • You must have enough people or equipment to move your items.
  • Expect a call from the freight carrier to schedule a delivery time.
    •
